This internship combines office-based work with field activities, offering hands-on experience in building energy performance and geothermal projects within a multidisciplinary team.
Challenges awaiting you
- Analyze building operational data to contribute to optimizing design methods and energy performance
- Perform energy simulations and load calculations
- Prepare grant applications
- Participate in geothermal construction site inspections in collaboration with the engineers responsible for the projects
- Conduct in-situ testing on geothermal wells and monitor the results
- Support the team in various technical activities related to sustainable development projects
- Perform any other related duties in support of ongoing projects
Profile we’re looking for
- Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related field
- Hold a valid ASP Construction certification
- Demonstrate a strong interest in sustainable development and energy systems
- Demonstrate the ability to work both in an office and on construction sites
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and an aptitude for hands-on work
- Demonstrate autonomy, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills
- Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Have knowledge of load calculation software, such as TRACE (asset)
- Have knowledge of energy simulation software such as IESVE and eQuest (asset)
- Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
