Do you want to contribute to a variety of occupational hygiene projects within an environmental team recognized for its expertise ?
This position involves active participation in mandates for public and private clients, ranging from field characterization to construction monitoring.
Challenges awaiting you
- Coordinate and participate in fieldwork activities and support technicians during site surveys and sampling
- Prepare reports, work procedures, technical specifications, and budget estimates related to the safe management of contaminants and hazardous materials
- Interpret results and provide recommendations in compliance with applicable regulations
- Inspect buildings, components, and materials for the potential presence of contaminants such as asbestos, lead, and mould
- Characterize materials that may contain contaminants and submit samples to laboratories following established protocols
- Monitor construction sites and document progress, non-conformities, corrective actions, and relevant interventions
- Travel as required to support construction site monitoring activities
- Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and preventive measures in collaboration with project teams
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in sciences including microbiology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, engineering, or any other relevant field
- Have a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent, including practical experience in occupational hygiene
- Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Hold an ASP Construction card
- Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Demonstrate strong adaptability in variable work environments and schedules
- Additional training in confined space entry, working at heights, lockout/tagout, or safe management of hazardous materials is considered an asset
