This position offers the opportunity to coordinate a variety of mandates, from environmental site assessments to site remediation projects, while collaborating with a wide range of clients, partners, and specialists.
Challenges awaiting you
Under the supervision and in collaboration with the Department Manager:
- Carry out and coordinate geoenvironmental mandates, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), environmental characterization projects, and soil and groundwater remediation projects
- Plan, prepare, and supervise fieldwork in collaboration with the various stakeholders involved in the projects
- Conduct site visits, environmental characterization activities, and monitor field operations
- Compile, analyze, and interpret collected data, and prepare technical reports and other project deliverables
- Ensure the technical and administrative coordination of projects, including schedule management, budget tracking, and quality control of deliverables
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies to ensure the successful completion of mandates
- Participate in the preparation of proposals, work plans, and cost estimates
- Conduct research and document reviews as part of environmental assessments and various environmental mandates
- Ensure the maintenance, calibration, and proper use of field equipment
- Perform any other related tasks contributing to project delivery and the growth of the department
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences, Biology, Geology, Geography, or another environmental-related field
- Master’s degree in Environmental Management considered an asset
- Have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Membership in the Association des biologistes du Québec (ABQ) or the Association québécoise en vérification environnementale (AQVE) is considered an asset
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in French
- Knowledge of English is considered an asset
- Hold an ASP Construction card
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
