Technician
Construction Site Supervision

Are you a passionate civil engineering technician? Your place is at gbi as a Civil Engineering Technician – Design and Site Supervision within our Infrastructure team at our Joliette office.

The selected candidate will be actively involved in projects of varying scales, working with both public-sector clients and private developers.

The challenges that await you

  • Produce municipal services and roadway infrastructure plans (CAD) using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Conduct topographic surveying
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare estimate and bid summary tables
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical and administrative specifications
  • Participate in site supervision of roadworks and underground infrastructure (sewers, water mains, utility networks)
  • Provide support to project managers (specifications drafting, cost estimating, project follow-up)

The profile we’re looking for

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering or any other relevant field
  • Be a recent graduate or have 1 to 2 years of experience (training and support will be provided)
  • Hold an ASP Construction card (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D or InRoads software (an asset)
  • Strong command of French, both spoken and written
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
