Gabriel Parent : Projects management with a field perspective

Eng., PMP, LEED AP BD+C

Gabriel possesses a combination of technical expertise, management skills and field experience that allows him to bridge the gap between operational needs, contractual requirements, and construction site realities.

Gabriel Parent joined the gbi team in 2024 as a Project Manager. With extensive on-site experience gained with a general contractor, he brings a valuable, practical perspective to the project management team, particularly with regard to administrative monitoring, construction coordination, and internal support for technical teams.

I focus on project management in the broadest sense: mandate progress, interdisciplinary coordination, invoicing, budgets, and timelines.

Gabriel is part of a small, close-knit team that supports various multidisciplinary projects across Quebec. He is notably working on the major Pointe-de-Longueuil project, currently in the study phase, for which he coordinates with partners, manages framework contracts, and provides administrative support. His team is also involved in projects such as the Claude-Robillard sports complex, involving several disciplines and external partners.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Gabriel also holds the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification and is currently pursuing an MBA in management. This combination of technical expertise, management skills, and field experience allows him to bridge the gap between operational needs, contractual requirements, and construction site realities.

His arrival at gbi marked a significant turning point in his career:

I came from a 100% construction environment. Joining gbi was an opportunity to better balance my professional and personal life, to find a more stable schedule, while continuing to work on complex and structured projects. I found an excellent balance and a team culture focused on collaboration.

Among the most significant challenges of his career, Gabriel mentions his years spent on the REM construction site, where he contributed to the delivery of the first portion of the project. “It was a colossal project, with constant technical and logistical coordination challenges. This experience helped me grow enormously.”

Three words to describe gbi :

For Gabriel, gbi is defined in three words: committed, innovative, and agile, a culture he embodies every day through his role.
