Guillaume Tessier, M. Sc.
Guillaume Tessier has always been driven by a desire to understand and influence workplace environments. With a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a master’s degree in forest genetics, he quickly shifted his focus to occupational hygiene, where he has accumulated over 13 years of experience working for engineering consulting firms.

His career has been marked by a constant desire to improve worker health and safety by developing strategies adapted to the realities on the field. Guillaume joined gbi in 2022 as an occupational hygiene team leader. Upon his arrival, he was faced with a major challenge: structuring and developing occupational hygiene expertise for the Quebec City region, where gbi did not yet have a dedicated team. With ambition and commitment, he built a solid team, which has since experienced remarkable growth.
A highlight of his career? The hiring of ten new hygiene professionals and project managers, an expansion that demonstrates the growing need for this expertise and the confidence placed in gbi in this field.

Among the projects he is most proud of, Guillaume readily cites the mandate won with the City of Quebec. This framework contract, a first for gbi, allowed the company to further establish its expertise in the region. “This project played a decisive role in our development. It confirmed that we had the skills and capacity to meet the needs of large organizations,” he explains.
What sets gbi apart, according to Guillaume, is above all its human and collaborative approach.
Here, we focus on work-life balance, with flexible schedules that allow everyone to give their best. But above all, I am surrounded by an incredibly competent team, where expertise and mutual support are part of everyday life, he emphasizes.
He also appreciates the collaborative dynamic between departments, which fosters innovation and complementary expertise. For him, gbi is an environment where people can grow, excel, and build projects that have a real impact.
Three words define gbi, according to him:
Pleasure, expertise and communication
