gbi is hiring a construction site technician for bridges and structures within the Transportation team.
The selected candidate will participate in the supervision of construction sites for municipal and government projects, ensuring both technical and administrative follow-up.
The challenges that await you
- Monitor construction work, and prepare daily reports and notices to the contractor
- Carry out technical and administrative follow-up (quantity tracking)
- Interpret engineering drawings
- Ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Annotate as-built drawings
- Perform any other related tasks that may contribute to the successful completion of projects
The profile we’re looking for
- Hold a DEC in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Have a minimum of 8 years of experience on bridge and structure projects
- Be familiar with AutoCAD and REVIT (an asset)
- Hold an ASP certificate (general construction site health and safety course)
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
- Enjoy working outdoors year-round
