gbi is looking for a graduating student in building mechanical engineering to join our Repentigny office starting in May 2026.
This role is intended for an EIT looking to develop their expertise within a multidisciplinary team and actively contribute to a variety of projects.
The challenges that await you
Under the supervision of and in collaboration with the Building Mechanical Team Lead:
- Participate in the design and installation of mechanical systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and refrigeration)
- Contribute to the development of concepts used for project execution according to client requirements
- Assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
- Support the coordination of ongoing work in collaboration with other stakeholders (architectural, civil, electrical, etc.)
The profile we’re looking for
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Building Mechanical Engineering
- Be a registered member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec as an EIT (Engineer-in-Training)
- Possess knowledge of applicable standards and codes
- Demonstrate excellent written communication skills
- Be familiar with load calculation software (TRACE)
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
