Construction site supervisor
Civil engineering

gbi is seeking a civil engineering technician to oversee infrastructure construction sites in Repentigny, as part of a multidisciplinary and dynamic team. The position offers a human-centered and flexible work environment, competitive conditions, and large-scale projects, while requiring solid experience in site supervision, training in civil engineering, and a high level of rigor in the field.

The challenges that await you

  • Carry out supervision of roadway, site development, and underground infrastructure works (water mains, sanitary and storm sewers, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with plans and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental standards
  • Validate various schedules and quantity sheets
  • Coordinate and approve work performed by the laboratory
  • Complete daily reports
  • Prepare non-compliance reports
  • Perform measurements and progressive quantities tracking
  • Ensure follow-up on modifications and approve changes in coordination with the project manager

The profile that we’re looking for

  • Hold a DEC in civil engineering or any other relevant discipline
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Hold training in civil engineering site supervision (infrastructure/civil)
  • Possess knowledge of the specifications and procedures of the City of Montreal
  • Have knowledge of BNQ standards
  • Hold an ASP Construction card
  • Be proficient in French, both written and spoken
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
  • Enjoy working outdoors (summer and winter)
  • Be able to work long hours on the construction site
