The City of Lévis mandated gbi to carry out the rehabilitation of the filters at the Charny drinking water treatment plant and the repair of the water reservoirs.

This strategic project aimed to ensure the quality and continuity of the water supply for the population while modernizing the facilities in accordance with the strictest standards of the Drinking Water Quality Regulation (RQEP). gbi was responsible for all aspects of the work, including the replacement of the filter bottoms with appropriate technology, installation and commissioning, replacement of the filter media, as well as the evaluation and repair of the concrete in the filters and washwater troughs.

The team also prepared the surfaces, ensured waterproofing with an NSF61-certified membrane, replaced the wash air supply valves, and carried out asbestos removal work. All electrical, control, commissioning, and personnel training tasks were included in the mandate to guarantee a complete and safe rehabilitation of the facilities.
