Christian joined the gbi team in 2023. A musician-guitarist in his spare time, he returned to his studies after a few years playing in bar shows. He holds a technical diploma, a bachelor’s degree, a half-master’s degree in architecture, as well as a university certification in project management.
After his studies, he focused on what he is most passionate about: emerging technologies in the construction industry. Currently, it is artificial intelligence that fascinates him and motivates him on a daily basis.
Can you describe your role within gbi ?
” As BIM Director at gbi, I play a crucial role in managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. I supervise the integration of BIM technologies into our projects, provide training and technical support for the teams and ensure that standards and best practices are respected. In addition, I collaborate with the various project stakeholders, architects, engineers, clients, to optimize the BIM design deliverables as much as possible. My main goal is to improve project efficiency, accuracy and collaboration. “
What motivated you to work in the field of consulting engineering ?
” I have always had a keen interest in new technologies. It is through various international conferences and the BIM training courses that I have followed and given that I have remained connected to innovation. This allowed me to stay at the forefront of technological advances and innovative methods. I like change and challenges, and I find that the field of consulting engineering is perfect for that, especially with the advent of artificial intelligence.
My BIM experience spent on several large-scale projects (hospitals, metros, airports, etc.), allows me to fully understand the needs of all stakeholders involved in a project – whether clients, architects, my fellow engineers, or the general contractor. This global understanding is a valuable asset that helps me anticipate issues and propose effective solutions. Working at gbi allows me to put this expertise into practice while continuing to learn and evolve in a dynamic environment. “
