This year marks a new decade in gbi’s history. Indeed, the consulting engineering firm was founded in 1963. Throughout the year, gbi—the remarkable and thriving company—will be celebrating 60 years of excellence.
Our company began in the Montréal and Lanaudière regions, offering civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering services. Over the years, the firm has diversified to provide a wide range of services across many other engineering disciplines.
gbi’s impact on Québec’s landscape is extensive. All types of infrastructure—including industrial, institutional, and heritage buildings, water treatment plants, airport facilities, municipal parks, as well as roads and civil engineering structures—have benefited from the innovation and creativity of the firm’s professionals.
Today, with a focus on energy transition and sustainable development, gbi ensures that its clients’ projects deliver optimal value in every aspect. We are active in several forward-looking and innovative sectors, and our ambitions are high. New markets and territories will be explored and developed in the coming years.

The 60th anniversary program will feature a variety of activities throughout the year for employees, partners, and collaborators. The celebrations will culminate in December with our Holiday Party.
