Pier-Alexandre Hénault, EIT.
When he is not on a construction site, Pier-Alexandre enjoys playing music and participating in motor sports in his free time. He’s hard-working and curious and never backs down from any challenge that comes his way.

With a college diploma in civil engineering technology and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Laval University, this up-and-coming young engineer describes himself as a “team player”
Why did you choose civil engineering ?
” It was a transition for me, ” explains Pier-Alexandre. “ I started out in music at CEGEP, but it wasn’t really what I wanted to do. So, I took a vocational test to help me find my way. It was then that I discovered that I loved mathematics and design. That’s what motivated me to learn more about civil engineering. ”
What has been your greatest achievement so far ?
” Learning every day and developing my independence, ” Pier-Alexandre says. ” Last summer, I was fortunate enough to have my first supervisory experience on a job site. It was a project to extend the infrastructure and build sewers, aqueducts and retention basins in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare. I’m very proud of that opportunity, which was also a great challenge. ”
Why did you choose gbi ?
” I wanted to find a job that would allow me to stay in my region and I had heard good things about the company from classmates in CEGEP, ” says Pier-Alexandre. ” Two of my school friends were working for gbi at the time and they told me about their experiences. ”
What sets gbi apart from its competitors ?
” I like how close my job is and the support within the company, ” he says. ” The Joliette office is very much like a family, and I appreciate the relationship I have with my team. The working conditions are also excellent. ”
Where do you see yourself 5 years from now ?
” I see myself standing on my own two feet and being a project manager for gbi, ” says Pier-Alexandre. ” I would like to specialize in infrastructure and do more complex system design for larger projects. ”
