For nearly 10 years, Samuel has been forging his path at gbi, combining his passion for his expertise in modeling. His unique journey, shaped by creativity and mentorship, perfectly reflects the growth of a curious and dedicated professional who is always eager to learn.

Since 2016, Samuel Kreitmann has been part of the gbi team at the Québec City office. He joined a small team in its early days and has seen the office grow over the years much like a construction site rising, step by step His career path is anything but conventional: a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from Université Laval followed by a vocational diploma in building design.
From a young age, creativity has played a major role in his life. A passionate comic artist, he continues to nurture his creative side whether through personal projects or by lending his artistic skills to the team: “gbi sometimes asks me for help with artistic projects.”
It was out in the field, working in construction, that his passion for the industry was born. What drives him most? “Visualizing the final product on screen is nice. But seeing it in real life that’s even better.”
For Samuel, teamwork is essential. The collaborative atmosphere at the Québec office and the daily conversations with colleagues are at the core of his motivation. At work and at home, Samuel finds inspiration in drawing. A father of two young boys who also love to sketch, he enjoys turning their everyday anecdotes into humorous four-panel comics. “It’s therapeutic. It helps me put things into perspective and make situations funny. It’s freeing.” Witnessing the rapid evolution of tech tools, Samuel has adapted with both discipline and curiosity, transitioning from AutoCAD to Revit while also exploring the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence.
I wanted to be proactive, to keep going, and I learned a lot thanks to the training opportunities at gbi.
Already engaged in BIM training before, he emphasizes the ongoing support that followed: “The BIM team encourages us to stay current, ask questions, and keep learning.”

” You shouldn’t be afraid to try new things, even if they’re not perfect at first. Steping out of your comfort zoneis the key. With the right support, anything is possible ”
