This Assistant director – Legal affairs position plays a strategic role within the company by supporting senior management in handling legal matters, governance, and risk assessment.

The successful candidate will participate in key decision-making, oversee major legal files, and ensure the organization’s activities remain compliant. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth while working in a dynamic and expanding environment.

The challenges that await you

  • Provide strategic and operational legal advice to the company’s various divisions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, partnerships, and strategic agreements
  • Ensure the company’s activities comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Oversee litigation management and collaborate with external counsel when necessary
  • Actively participate in strategic discussions with senior management
  • Monitor legal developments and recommend best practices in governance and compliance
  • Contribute to optimizing internal legal processes and implementing risk management tools
  • Train and raise awareness among internal teams on relevant legal matters

Le profil que nous recherchons

  • Hold a law degree and be a member of the Quebec Bar
  • Have a minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in business law, commercial law, or corporate law
  • Have experience managing complex and strategic legal matters
  • Possess excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Be able to work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
  • Have a strong command of both French and English, spoken and written
