gbi offers you the opportunity to lead a committed team and contribute to large-scale, multidisciplinary projects in the heart of Montreal. As a service manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of deliverables, developing talent, and managing client relationships.

The challenges that await you

  • Design building electrical projects
  • Conduct analyses, expert evaluations, engineering studies, and prepare technical specifications
  • Identify, interpret, and apply appropriate design standards and codes while ensuring compliance with contractual documents
  • Lead and/or perform feasibility studies, short-circuit studies, design, operational and performance studies of electrical components, equipment, and electronic communication systems
  • Design circuits, components, networks, and electrical installations
  • Supervise the installation, modification, testing, and operation of electrical systems and devices
  • Monitor project schedules and manage project budgets in collaboration with the director
  • Represent the firm to clients and define project-related needs
  • Ensure that services provided comply with contractual requirements
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables submitted to clients
  • Coordinate with other professionals
  • Act as a point of contact and resource for the team
  • Participate in staffing processes to develop the team
  • Actively contribute to business development by identifying new clients, partners, and business opportunities
  • Be an ambassador of the company’s values: Competent, Honest, Human, and Passionate
  • Plan, organize, control, and direct all resources and activities of the building electrical team
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains and implement them in collaboration with the team
  • Participate in preparing service proposals
  • Mentor and support all team members, ensuring their technical and professional development
  • Collaborate with other company departments to achieve the firm’s business objectives
  • Perform any other related tasks that contribute to project completion

The profile we’re looking for

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Be a licensed member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Have relevant experience in engineering consulting
  • Possess excellent knowledge of applicable standards and codes
  • Be able to effectively represent the company to clients
  • Have excellent written communication skills
  • Be a strong team player
  • Be able to adapt effectively to unforeseen circumstances while meeting established deadlines
