gbi is looking for an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in fire protection to join our Repentigny office.
The successful candidate will be actively involved in projects within the institutional, residential, and commercial sectors, as well as projects for public-sector clients and private developers.
Challenges awaiting you
- Perform surveys of existing fire protection systems
- Participate in the design of fire protection systems, including hydraulic calculations
- Contribute to the development of project concepts based on client requirements
- Assist in the preparation of technical study reports
- Participate in the preparation of fire protection drawings and specifications (performance-based and full plans and specifications)
- Review shop drawings
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (specialization in building mechanics is an asset)
- Have experience in building mechanics and consulting engineering (an asset)
- Have knowledge of applicable standards and codes (an asset)
- Have excellent written communication skills
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
