Engineer
Regulation and Control - HVAC

gbi is looking for a Control and Automation Engineer to join its building systems engineering team.

The selected candidate will contribute to the delivery of a variety of projects in institutional and commercial settings. They will actively participate in mandates for cities, municipalities, private developers, as well as manufacturing and industrial companies. This position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise to innovative technical solutions in a collaborative environment.

The challenges that await you

  • Design automatic control systems for building mechanical systems
  • Develop complex automatic control strategies
  • Select measurement and control equipment (such as valves, transmitters, and variable frequency drives)
  • Participate in system commissioning and performance validation
  • Approve engineering drawings
  • Ensure the library of typical drawings is kept up to date

The profile we’re looking for

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in building mechanical engineering or control systems
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Have a strong understanding of control and automation systems for building mechanical installations
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Experience in consulting engineering (asset)
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
  • Be fluent in French and have working knowledge of English
