Your place is with gbi, as part of our Smart Building team in Repentigny. As a Commissioning Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of electromechanical systems, contributing to innovative, sustainable projects tailored to users’ needs.
The challenges that await you
- Supervise the commissioning process from the design phase through the first year of building operation
- Demonstrate to partners the achievement of operational and performance objectives of electromechanical systems
- Prepare commissioning specifications, develop checklists, and performance tests
- Review plans and specifications from professionals to provide feedback on system performance, reliability, operational durability, accessibility, maintenance, operational efficiency, and the protection of occupant and operational staff health, safety, and comfort
- Organize and lead commissioning meetings with partners
- Develop test procedures based on system operating sequences
- Conduct and document on-site testing
- Establish a punch list of outstanding work following system verifications and communicate it to partners
- Write and update the commissioning report throughout the project
The profile we’re looking for
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in building systems (member of the OIQ) or possess a technical diploma in building mechanical systems
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrate versatility, autonomy, and strong communication skills
- Exhibit leadership abilities and a strong commitment to customer service
- Be fluent in French, both spoken and written
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
- Have a solid understanding of control and automation systems adapted to building mechanical installations
- Experience in programming (asset)
- Experience in consulting engineering (asset)
