Municipal

The City of Laval’s real estate portfolio represents a large-scale mandate, encompassing both recent acquisitions and buildings more than 50 years old. As part of this project, more than 160 municipal buildings were inspected, including 150 that required an update of existing information.
gbi’s mandate was to analyze, revise, and convert previous records, in addition to carrying out supplementary site visits for all targeted buildings. These interventions aimed to assess the compliance of existing materials and ensure they posed no health risk to occupants, in accordance with health, safety, and asset management requirements.
A high-performing and efficient service
Thanks to rigorous planning and the multidisciplinary expertise of its team, gbi completed the project in five months, well ahead of the City of Laval’s original one-year schedule.
The use of the Airsite data collection software played a key role in the project’s success. This tool made it possible to generate precise location plans incorporating photos and field notes, while also facilitating communication and exchanges with the client. This technology-driven approach helped increase operational efficiency, ensure data traceability, and support informed decision-making throughout the project.
