Located in the heart of the Domaine Vert-Nord neighborhood in Mirabel, the new elementary school offers a modern and eco-friendly learning environment.
With its 5,700 m² spread over a single floor, it houses 24 elementary classrooms and 4 preschool classrooms, providing spaces tailored to today’s educational needs. The architecture, designed to maximize natural light, spatial flexibility and student well-being, reflects the vision of the learning environments of tomorrow.
Durable and intelligent solutions
The building’s design is based on a sustainable development approach and is supported by a pursuit of LEED® Gold V4 certification.
The integration of high-performance electromechanical systems ensures optimal comfort for occupants while reducing the building’s energy footprint. Geothermal energy plays a central role by enabling thermal recovery throughout the year, while water-to-water heat pumps connected to this network provide consistent performance. Air distribution through fan-coil units facilitates heating and cooling, and precise temperature control is maintained by boxes and coils designed to adapt to varying needs.
The supply of fresh air, supported by a high-efficiency energy recovery unit, enhances indoor air quality, while radiant floors contribute to uniform comfort. When weather conditions permit, natural ventilation takes over to optimize energy use.
Thanks to these sustainable solutions and the integration of intelligent technologies, this school stands out as a model of energy efficiency, innovation, and environmental quality in the education sector.
