The Montreal World Trade Centre, an iconic 93,000 m² complex, perfectly illustrates the balance between historic heritage and technological innovation.

For this unique project, gbi’s mechanical and electrical engineering teams played a central role, contributing to the renovation of nine heritage buildings while ensuring the preservation of the historic façade.

The technical systems implemented are state-of-the-art: advanced IT and security networks, central energy systems with heat pumps recovering energy from interior spaces, ensuring comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

gbi’s expertise also extends to the design and development of all commercial and office spaces, totaling 700,000 ft², as well as the construction of the tunnel connecting the complex to the Square-Victoria metro station. The team also carried out the engineering and design of the InterContinental Hotel, an integral part of the complex.
