Technician
Civil Design

Put your expertise to work on major projects as a civil engineering technician – design, within our Infrastructure team in Quebec City.

At gbi, you will contribute to diverse and concrete projects that shape our communities.

The challenges that await you

  • Produce municipal services and road infrastructure plans and profiles using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
  • Produce construction details using CAD tools
  • Perform various simulations using specialized software (AutoTURN, Vehicle Tracking, etc.)
  • Calculate quantities and prepare quantity take-off sheets
  • Comply with the CAD standards of different clients
  • Perform self-checks of your own work
  • Conduct supervision related to roadwork, landscaping, and underground infrastructure (water supply, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, etc.)
  • Ensure work complies with plans and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with current environmental standards

The profile we’re looking for

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering or any other relevant discipline
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Hold an ASP Construction safety card
  • Master AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Master Civil 3D or InRoads software (asset)
  • Master MicroStation software (asset)
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in spoken and written French
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
