This position offers the opportunity to oversee municipal infrastructure construction projects while working with a multidisciplinary team on large-scale assignments.
Challenges awaiting you
- Perform site inspection for roadwork, municipal developments, and underground infrastructure projects (watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, etc.)
- Ensure construction work complies with plans and specifications
- Monitor compliance with applicable environmental standards and regulations
- Review quantity sheets and payment certificates
- Coordinate and approve work carried out by materials testing laboratories
- Prepare daily site inspection reports
- Issue non-conformance reports when required
- Perform quantity measurements and progress estimates
- Coordinate change requests and obtain approvals in collaboration with the Project Manager
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering Technology or another relevant discipline
- Have a minimum of five years of relevant site inspection experience
- Hold training in civil engineering construction inspection (municipal infrastructure)
- Demonstrate knowledge of the City of Montréal’s specifications and procedures
- Demonstrate knowledge of BNQ standards
- Hold a valid ASP Construction certification
- Demonstrate excellent written and spoken French
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle
- Enjoy working outdoors in all seasons
- Be able to work extended hours on construction sites when required
