Hydrology and Urban Hydraulics

This role offers the opportunity to lead hydrology and urban hydraulics projects for municipalities, government agencies, and private developers while contributing to the development of sustainable infrastructure.

Challenges awaiting you

  • Act as Project Manager for hydrology and urban hydraulics projects
  • Analyze client needs for municipal infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Design hydraulic structures
  • Perform stormwater drainage calculations using SWMM
  • Carry out hydraulic balancing calculations for water distribution systems
  • Coordinate with clients and present engineering drawings and specifications
  • Prepare documentation required for approvals from the Québec Ministry of the Environment, the Fight Against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks (MELCCFP)
  • Perform river hydraulics studies for the design of transportation structures, including bridges and culverts, in accordance with Québec Ministry of Transportation (MTQ) requirements
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and service offers

Profile we’re looking for

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or be eligible for membership)
  • Have a minimum of five years of relevant experience
  • Have consulting engineering experience with municipalities (asset)
  • Have experience working on projects for the Québec Ministry of Transportation (MTQ) (asset)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of MELCCFP regulations and standards
  • Demonstrate knowledge of stormwater management best practices
  • Have experience with SWMM, Aquagéo, HEC-RAS, EPANET, and QGIS software (asset)
  • Demonstrate excellent written and spoken French
  • Hold a valid ASP Construction certification
