gbi is seeking a Building Mechanical Technician to join its Montréal team. Reporting to the Building Mechanical Department Manager, the selected candidate will actively contribute to the design and production of plans and drawings. This team primarily works on a wide range of commercial projects.
Challenges awaiting you
- Design and prepare technical drawings for building mechanical systems (ventilation, heating, air conditioning, plumbing)
- Perform mechanical system calculations using recognized engineering methods
- Select and size mechanical equipment
- Conduct site surveys and prepare drawings of existing installations
- Coordinate mechanical systems with other disciplines (electrical, architecture, structural, civil, etc.)
- Participate in cost estimate preparation
- Review shop drawings submitted by contractors
- Conduct site visits as required and prepare site reports and deficiency lists
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) specializing in Building Mechanics
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in building mechanics
- Demonstrate excellent command of REVIT and AutoCAD software
- Have relevant consulting engineering experience (strong asset)
