Municipal Infrastructure and Environment

Are you looking to contribute to municipal infrastructure and environmental projects within an experienced and collaborative team ?

This position involves active participation in the design, delivery, and follow-up of projects in municipal infrastructure and residual materials management, including landfill sites.

Challenges awaiting you

Municipal infrastructure :

  • Participate in the design of water supply, sewer, and roadway networks
  • Perform technical calculations such as hydraulic calculations and system sizing
  • Contribute to the preparation of plans and specifications
  • Estimate project quantities and costs
  • Collaborate in gathering project inputs such as plans, surveys, standards, and regulations
  • Participate in construction supervision and site follow-up

Residual materials management (RMM) :

  • Participate in the design of facilities such as engineered landfill sites and ecocentres
  • Perform technical calculations related to systems including drainage and leachate management
  • Contribute to the preparation of plans and specifications
  • Participate in site inspections and environmental monitoring
  • Ensure compliance of work with applicable standards and regulations

Profile we’re looking for

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec as an Engineer or Engineer-in-Training
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience including internships
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in projects combining civil engineering and environmental aspects
  • Have basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D an asset
  • Demonstrate interest or familiarity with modeling tools
  • Demonstrate teamwork, rigor, and a willingness to learn
  • Be available for occasional travel to construction sites in the Quebec region
  • Be available for occasional assignments of approximately 4 weeks per year outside the region (Abitibi, Estrie, Nord-du-Québec)
