This position involves active participation in the design, delivery, and follow-up of projects in municipal infrastructure and residual materials management, including landfill sites.
Challenges awaiting you
Municipal infrastructure :
- Participate in the design of water supply, sewer, and roadway networks
- Perform technical calculations such as hydraulic calculations and system sizing
- Contribute to the preparation of plans and specifications
- Estimate project quantities and costs
- Collaborate in gathering project inputs such as plans, surveys, standards, and regulations
- Participate in construction supervision and site follow-up
Residual materials management (RMM) :
- Participate in the design of facilities such as engineered landfill sites and ecocentres
- Perform technical calculations related to systems including drainage and leachate management
- Contribute to the preparation of plans and specifications
- Participate in site inspections and environmental monitoring
- Ensure compliance of work with applicable standards and regulations
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec as an Engineer or Engineer-in-Training
- Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience including internships
- Demonstrate a strong interest in projects combining civil engineering and environmental aspects
- Have basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D an asset
- Demonstrate interest or familiarity with modeling tools
- Demonstrate teamwork, rigor, and a willingness to learn
- Be available for occasional travel to construction sites in the Quebec region
- Be available for occasional assignments of approximately 4 weeks per year outside the region (Abitibi, Estrie, Nord-du-Québec)
