This role allows you to apply your industrial hygiene knowledge to support a major client in risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and the continuous improvement of workplace practices.
Challenges awaiting you
- Perform spot gas measurements
- Assess workers’ exposure to various contaminants
- Evaluate contaminant exposure based on specific tasks
- Conduct site noise mapping
- Update asbestos registers
- Perform sampling of materials suspected of containing asbestos (MSCA) or lead-based paint (PSCP)
- Monitor chemical products, including labels and databases
- Act as a resource person for the client and follow up on requests, schedules, and deliverables
- Coordinate interventions with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports and work procedures
- Interpret analysis results and provide recommendations in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a technical diploma in occupational hygiene, occupational health and safety, or a bachelor’s degree in science (microbiology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, engineering, or another relevant field), or a combination of equivalent education and experience in industrial hygiene
- Have a minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Hold a valid ASP Construction certification
- Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle
- Have training in confined space work (asset)
- Have training in working at heights (asset)
- Have lockout/tagout training (asset)
- Have training in the safe management of asbestos, lead, mould, or silica (asset)
- Have respiratory protection and fit-testing training (asset)
