This Building Mechanical Engineer position involves active participation in the design and delivery of institutional, residential, and commercial projects for both public and private clients.
Challenges awaiting you
- Plan, supervise, and carry out the design and installation of building mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing
- Determine design concepts based on client requirements
- Supervise and prepare plans and specifications Supervise the work of the technical team assigned to projects
- Review and coordinate mechanical engineering services with other disciplines such as architecture and other engineering specialties
- Supervise and prepare cost estimates and reports related to plans and specifications
- Participate in construction supervision
- Administer projects including invoicing, follow-ups, and change orders in collaboration with the administrative department
- Prepare service proposals and participate in business development under the supervision of management
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in building mechanical systems
- Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Possess relevant experience in engineering consulting
- Have experience in projects within the healthcare and education sectors
- Have knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Demonstrate the ability to represent the company with clients
- Demonstrate excellent written communication skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
