This Building Mechanical Engineer position involves active participation in the design and delivery of institutional, residential, and commercial projects for both public and private clients.

Challenges awaiting you

  • Plan, supervise, and carry out the design and installation of building mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing
  • Determine design concepts based on client requirements
  • Supervise and prepare plans and specifications Supervise the work of the technical team assigned to projects
  • Review and coordinate mechanical engineering services with other disciplines such as architecture and other engineering specialties
  • Supervise and prepare cost estimates and reports related to plans and specifications
  • Participate in construction supervision
  • Administer projects including invoicing, follow-ups, and change orders in collaboration with the administrative department
  • Prepare service proposals and participate in business development under the supervision of management

Profile we’re looking for

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in building mechanical systems
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Possess relevant experience in engineering consulting
  • Have experience in projects within the healthcare and education sectors
  • Have knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Demonstrate the ability to represent the company with clients
  • Demonstrate excellent written communication skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
