gbi is proud to have contributed to the magic of the Mosaïcultures at the Montreal Botanical Garden, an international event that combines art, nature, and innovation.
To support the execution of this eco-responsible project, certified as a Level 3 Eco-Responsible Event, the firm applied its expertise to the design and construction of the essential infrastructure needed for the site’s proper functioning.
Showcasing horticultural art through sustainable engineering
The firm oversaw the construction of two water basins and water features for the exhibits, the implementation of an irrigation network powered by a solar-energy artesian well, the connection of sanitary facilities and installation of new drinking fountains, as well as the extension of the electrical network for medium- and low-voltage distribution.
It also carried out the pumping systems for the fountains and irrigation devices, while overseeing the excavation, grading, and surface drainage work.
The firm managed the development of visitor reception and service areas, including pathways, lookouts, kiosks, pergolas, shops, and rest areas, to provide an enjoyable and harmonious experience for all visitors. Through an integrated approach combining expertise in biology, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering, as well as environmental sciences, the firm helped create a sustainable site where technology and nature come together to inspire wonder.
