gbi a participé à la conception cette nouvelle école primaire de Carignan, un projet du Centre de services scolaire des Patriotes visant à offrir un environnement d’apprentissage moderne, performant et durable.
Notre équipe était responsable de la conception mécanique et électrique du bâtiment, en intégrant des solutions innovantes favorisant l’efficacité énergétique.
Ce projet illustre l’engagement de gbi à concevoir des bâtiments scolaires adaptés aux enjeux actuels, où la réduction de la consommation énergétique et l’optimisation des systèmes du bâtiment occupent une place centrale.
Une école primaire entièrement alimentée par la géothermie
L’un des éléments distinctifs du projet est son système énergétique basé sur la géothermie. L’école sera alimentée à 100 % par cette source d’énergie renouvelable grâce à l’installation de 36 puits géothermiques d’une profondeur de 500 pieds.
Cette technologie permet de répondre aux besoins de chauffage et de climatisation du bâtiment tout en contribuant à réduire son empreinte environnementale.
Integrated solutions to improve energy efficiency
In addition to geothermal energy, several measures were incorporated into the mechanical and electrical design to optimize the building’s performance:
- Indoor and outdoor LED lighting with motion detection
- Low-water-consumption plumbing fixtures
- A centralized automatic control system enabling efficient management of the building’s equipment
These choices contribute to creating a comfortable, functional and energy-efficient environment for students and school staff.
