This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, assessment, and rehabilitation of hydroelectric facilities and embankment dams while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on large-scale projects.
Challenges awaiting you
- Participate in the planning, monitoring, and analysis of geotechnical investigations
- Design foundations, embankments, and earthfill dams for new facilities and rehabilitation projects
- Contribute to safety assessments of earthfill structures
- Perform inspections of foundations and earth-retaining structures
- Provide technical support for infrastructure and building projects
- Carry out engineering studies, analyses, and design calculations
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians while providing technical supervision when required
- Contribute to project management activities, including schedule and budget monitoring for your discipline
- Provide technical support to construction teams from the office and on-site
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project partners and represent gbi as a trusted advisor
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline
- Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or be eligible for membership)
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in hydraulic structures or hydroelectric engineering projects
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork skills
