Join gbi’s Montréal office and contribute to a variety of projects in the institutional, residential and commercial sectors. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects for public-sector clients and private developers while pursuing your path toward professional engineering licensure.
Challenges awaiting you
Under the supervision and in collaboration with the Director of Building Mechanical Engineering, you will:
- Participate in the design and installation of mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and refrigeration
- Participate in developing concepts tailored to client needs and project requirements
- Participate in preparing plans and specifications
- Collaborate on the coordination of work with other disciplines, including architecture, civil engineering and electrical engineering
Profile we’re looking for
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in building mechanical engineering
- Be registered with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
- Have knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Demonstrate excellent written communication skills
- Have knowledge of load calculation software, particularly TRACE
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office
