The challenges that await you
- Participate in the planning, study, and evaluation of electrical and telecommunication equipment and systems
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimation, design, operation, and performance analysis of electrical components and communication electronic systems
- Prepare cost estimates, design specifications for electrical and telecommunication systems and installations, and write reports
- Design electrical circuits, components, and installations, including telephony, telecommunications, video surveillance, access control, and Wi-Fi for institutional, industrial, commercial, cultural sectors, etc.
- Liaise with partners and analyze their needs
- Supervise the installation, modification, testing, and operation of electrical systems and devices
- Under the supervision of the Telecommunications and Security Manager, monitor technological developments and keep up with new technologies
- Collaborate with team members to develop new work tools and improve existing methods
The profile we’re looking for
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or telecommunications
- Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Have experience in consulting engineering, in a similar role
- Possess strong knowledge of telecommunication and electrical standards
- Master the principles of electrical distribution
- Be familiar with lighting calculation software (AGI32)
- Have experience in cost estimation and construction supervision is an asset
- Be proficient in AutoCAD or Revit (asset)
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
