gbi was mandated by the company responsible for the engineering and construction of the REM light rail transit system, the NouvLR, to provide independent engineering services.

The mandate includes reviewing engineering change requests, providing technical advice, conducting project management analyses and recommendations, as well as reviewing the claims documentation.

The Réseau express métropolitain is the largest public transit project in Quebec, designed to simplify travel for users along a 67 km route across the Greater Montreal area. It includes work at 26 train stations, including upgrades and the addition of new stations, such as the one at Montreal’s Pierre‑Elliott‑Trudeau International Airport.
