Technical leadership and innovation :

  • Actively participate in the development of your business unit
  • Plan, organize, and lead the development of the civil structures team by actively contributing to its growth and consolidation through recruitment activities
  • Ensure strong team engagement and mobilization
  • Act as an ambassador of the company’s values: competent, ethical, human, and passionate
  • Plan, organize, control, and manage all resources and activities of the bridges and civil structures department
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains, and implement them in collaboration with the team
  • Actively participate in the negotiation of service contracts for the department
  • Contribute to the preparation of service proposals
  • Ensure financial monitoring of design projects in collaboration with the various project managers
  • Oversee the quality of engineering, professional, and project management services delivered by your business unit

Project management and delivery responsibilities :

  • Execute structural projects for bridges and civil structures
  • Design bridge and civil structure projects
  • Conduct analyses, engineering assessments, and technical studies
  • Represent the firm with clients and define project requirements
  • Manage bridge and civil structure projects
  • Ensure that services delivered comply with contractual agreements
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate a multidisciplinary team during project execution as a project director
  • Manage communications with clients and stakeholders, and support bridge and civil structure resources on complex projects
  • Perform any other tasks related to the position

The profile we’re looking for

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Have more than 10 years of experience in bridges and civil structures
  • Have experience in personnel management
  • Have experience in load-bearing capacity assessment (an asset)
  • Hold MTMDET training and certifications for bridges and civil structures
  • Be familiar with the Canadian code for highway bridge design (CSA/S6)
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability with different clients
  • Have strong teamwork skills
  • Effectively manage demanding situations while meeting deadlines
