As part of the development of energy infrastructure, this project involves the construction of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) unloading, storage, and regasification unit.

Carried out for Shango Canada Inc., the mandate takes place in a highly regulated environment, requiring rigorous integration of specialized equipment from multiple international manufacturers.

gbi acts as a multidisciplinary expert to ensure compliance with applicable Canadian standards while coordinating the mechanical and process integration of the equipment. The team carried out process design, 3D modelling, and risk analysis (HAZOP) to ensure the safety and performance of the facility.

Particular attention was given to gas dispersion modelling in the event of an incident, enabling optimized site layout and effective sizing of leak detection and capture systems. The project also stands out for the coordination of multiple stakeholders across different geographic contexts, requiring strong expertise in project management and regulatory compliance.
